I have been using Windows 8 for well over a year, and have been using it as my main OS for the past 8 months. One of the small problems (rather a big problem) with Windows 8 is the removal of the start button. I have had a number of people ask how to find the app data folder on Windows 8. Thankfully its really easy, and the video below shows how it is done. This trick will also work with Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

Simply press the “Windows Key” and the “R” key at the same time. This will bring up the run diologue box. Then type in “%APPDATA% and your app data folder will open. Simple.
