Sometimes you don’t have to be the most creative person in the world to make something you made look great. Sometimes all it takes is the right theme, a template you can modify to suit your needs. This very site is a heavily modified WordPress theme, which now suits my needs. Sometimes though, finding these themes can be very tricky, as there are millions of them out there, a lot of which are not worth your time.

Recently the creator of ThemesFinder.com reached out to me and let me know about their service, and I must admit, I am impressed. They allow you to find themes for just about any platform or scenario you can think by way of using filters.

You could tell ThemesFinder you want a free magazine wordpress theme. ThemesFinder will give you a good selection from their theme database. Lets say you want a creative email template thats under £30. ThemesFinder will give you a good selection.

It really is good, but there are a few things that need to be improved. The main one is user submitted themes. Currently there are over 50,000 themes on there, but there could easily be more. Have users submit their themes to the site could be a good solution. I would also find user tags more useful. Such things as colour, uses, design styles and more could be done by a simple tag. Tags should tie in with search and filters, and should produce better results.
